Don Matteo is an Italian TV series set at first in “Spoleto” and then in “Gubbio”: both of these towns are near Perugia in Umbria.

The protagonist is a Catholic priest, Don Matteo Minelli, he is a very intelligent and understanding man.

With his brilliant intuitions he always manages to solve all the problems that arise, before the police.

He is an extraordinary person, he is always ready to understand and forgive the sinners.

Both tv series have something in common. We don't think that the plot is similar but there are some aspects that are similar between both tv series.

One of them is that the between the people of the town there are always lots of gossips about different people of the town such as love relationships or problems with their relations.
On of the other aspects is that both tv series take place in small towns.
Finally both principal characters try to help people.

On the other hand there're a lot of differences like the main plot and they are made on differents decades.
